ASOS.COM Secret plans unveiled

One of the most successful etailers- asos.com- unveiled it’s plans for the fashion world domination. The CEO Nick Robertson announced his intention to turn asos.com into an amazon.com for fashion. Despite the recent credit crises, asos.com is doing incredibly well and reported a 95% rise in sales in June. Asos.com is not only constantly expanding it’s range of brands and clothing lines, but also plans to extend the services and options offered onsite. Miss Sixty goes online

Slowly but surely the e-world starts to hit the fashion labels. Now it’s Miss Sixty’s turn to dive into e-commerce. Together with the Italian retailer Yoox, Miss Sixty is going to launch its first virtual retail store. The date for the launch is set to be September the 8th, a day after Miss Sixty’s catwalk show during the New York Fashion Week spring summer 2009. Cartier to file a suit against Donna Karan

Donna Karan has recently introduced a watch line for DNKY which includes the Plated Tank Watch, being sold for $115. An authentic Cartier Tank Watch can cost  up to $10 thousand. The watch maker has accused the fashion designer of stealing its name and design. ZARA at the top

It had to happen one day- GAP has been dethroned. The Spanish fashion chain ZARA has stepped up to be the world’s largest clothing retailer, still closely followed by GAP.

This major jump seems to be the result of the label's recent global expansion- reaching a total of almost 3,900 stores across 70 countries and a reported 9 per cent increase in sales. ZARA’s total sales in the first quarter of its financial year reached €2.22bn, compared to GAP’s total of €2.17bn in the same period.

Madonna’s latest project, her world tour Sticky& Sweet, will start on August 23 in Cardiff, Wales. Her shows are always glamorous and spectacular. The fashion designer Alexander McQueen has partnered with Puma to produce a new Puma street sneakers. He created a limited edition chocolate-brown crocodile leather kick that also doubles as a dress shoe. Only 25 pairs will be available.
